BRISTOL, Tenn. — Corporate Image/Corporate Marketing (CI/CM) has promoted longtime Creative Director Marty Engle to director of AI and creative services, expanding his leadership role to include the agency’s growing use of artificial intelligence in creative development, marketing and client communications.
Engle, a 27-year veteran of CI/CM, will continue to lead the agency’s creative services while also overseeing the evaluation, development and integration of AI tools and strategies across the organization.
“Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing practically every aspect of the communications and marketing business, but we believe its greatest value comes when it is combined with experienced people who understand creativity, strategy and our clients,” said Jon Lundberg, president and CEO of Bristol, Tennessee-based CI/CM. “Marty has spent his career embracing new technologies without losing sight of what makes great creative work effective. He is the right person to lead us as we incorporate AI into the work we do for our clients.”
In his expanded role, Engle will help identify and implement AI applications that enhance CI/CM’s capabilities in areas including research, content development, graphic design, digital marketing, video production, concept development and other creative services. He also will work with the agency’s staff to establish best practices for the responsible and effective use of emerging AI technologies.
“AI gives creative professionals an entirely new set of tools, and our understanding of what those tools can do is evolving daily,” Engle said. “With AI, we have an opportunity to explore ideas faster, solve problems differently and ultimately produce better work for our clients.”
Engle joined CI/CM following a decade of experience in print media, art publishing, advertising design, broadcast video production and interactive multimedia. A graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, he has led CI/CM’s development of award-winning websites, branding programs, advertising campaigns, video projects and collateral materials for clients across a wide range of industries.
His career has also extended beyond traditional advertising and design. Engle was coauthor of the popular young adult paranormal book series Strange Matter and Strange Forces and is a member of the Writers Guild of America West.
