BRISTOL, Tenn., April 27, 2021 — King University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) online degree has been named among Fortune’s “The Best Online MBA Programs of 2021” as part of its new Fortune Education hub.
The hub was developed to help degree seekers navigate the fast-growing number of online programs and evaluate the best solutions for their careers.
“King is pleased to have been included in Fortune’s inaugural publication of the best online MBA programs,” said Matt Roberts, Ed.D., provost of King. “King’s online MBA program is designed to provide the affordability, work-life balance, and scheduling flexibility that professionals need to pursue their degrees. It also equips them with the leadership skills needed to expand their professional influence and further their careers.”
According to Fortune, recruiters reported six-figure median salaries being awarded to top MBA graduates in 2020, a figure that represents 70% more than was paid to those holding only a bachelor’s degree.
Fortune’s rankings compare online MBA-granting institutions from across the U.S. on several measures of quality, with multiple data sets used to formulate the rankings. These include data provided by schools, a “brand score” calculated from a survey of hiring managers and business professionals, and a weighted “Fortune 1000 Score,” which considers business school alumni placements in the C-Suites of the biggest companies in the U.S.
The rankings can be viewed here.
“The MBA continues to be a valuable asset for long-term professional growth,” said Mark Pate, Ph.D., dean of King’s School of Business, Economics and Technology. “King’s online program offers students coursework in management, research, theoretical systems, quantitative analysis, and ethical practices for application in a variety of professional settings. It also allows students to tailor their course of study, with concentrations in management, marketing, healthcare administration, human resource management, project management, and small business management and social entrepreneurship. These concentrations are designed to thoroughly prepare students to enter the industries and positions of their choice, and helps ensure they are equipped for success in their careers and service to others.”
Fortune Education was launched in tandem with the publication of initial higher education program rankings. The publication will also produce five additional rankings and ratings later this year of graduate, post-graduate, executive education, and personal and professional improvement programs.
