ABINGDON, Va. – On Friday, April 10, Cornerstone Christian Academy will give individuals an opportunity to bid on auction items ranging from baskets of gift cards to local restaurants and entertainment attractions to hand-crafted goods, collectibles, jewelry, and luxurious, all-inclusive vacations.
Slated to begin at 6:15 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, the fourth annual Spring Fling Gala & Auction will feature a live and silent auction, live entertainment, and a catered dinner from The Farmer’s Daughter. This year’s event will also give attendees their first opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a silver 2002 Porsche Boxster S Convertible. Only 399 raffle tickets will be sold for the July 4th drawing.
Last year’s auction raised more than $27,000 for the school, which has set a goal of $30,000 for this year’s event. Proceeds from the event will be used to help fund CCA student scholarships.
Admission to the Spring Fling Gala & Auction is $15 for adults, $8 for children. Tickets may be purchased at Cornerstone Christian Academy, 16210 Elementary Drive, Abingdon, Virginia. For more information, call (276) 623-7164.
“This event is a fun, unique way to support CCA, and it also provides another setting for people to learn more about our school,” says Dana Dando, dean of faculty and students at Cornerstone. “The annual auction has proven to be a key source of support for our school, and we look forward to hosting another successful event.”
