NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville-based law firm Branstetter, Stranch & Jennings (BS&J), PLLC announces that senior associate attorney Isaac Kimes has been selected by the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA) for its 2023 Leadership Law program, joining a class of 32 additional attorneys from across the state.

TBA’s award-winning Leadership Law (TBALL) program aims to serve the legal profession by equipping participants with the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in the profession and the community as a whole. The program has graduated more than 500 lawyer leaders since its launch in 2004.

“We are delighted that Isaac has been chosen for the Leadership Law program,” says J. Gerard Stranch IV, managing partner for BS&J. “He has devoted his career to representing individuals harmed by other parties, including corporations and government entities, and is an active member of Nashville’s community. We are very proud of Isaac’s accomplishments in the pursuit of civil justice and his selection for this highly competitive program.”

Kimes joined BS&J in early 2022 and focuses his practice in the areas of complex civil litigation, mass torts and personal injury. A 2012 graduate of The University of Memphis Law School, he served on The University of Memphis Law Review as symposium editor. He obtained his B.S. in Justice Studies from Arizona State University in 2007. In 2008, he was honored as an outstanding alumnus for his work on criminal justice policy.

Kimes has been recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Star. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Tennessee and Missouri, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.

“I’m honored and excited to have been selected for this outstanding program,” Kimes says. “In addition to developing effective ethical, professional and community service leadership skills, I’ll be privileged to foster relationships with legal leaders from across multiple disciplines throughout the state. I greatly appreciate this opportunity and look forward to applying these new skills to my work on behalf of our firm’s clients and to the community as well.”

The TBA is the largest professional association in Tennessee and provides opportunities for continuing legal education, professional development and public service. Its more than 13,000 members include plaintiff and defense lawyers, corporate counsel, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, government lawyers and legal services attorneys.
