Cornerstone Christian Academy to Host 11th Annual Vision Dinner

ABINGDON, Va. – Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA) will provide the region an opportunity to learn about the school’s current offerings and plans at its upcoming 11th annual Vision Dinner.

Held Friday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. at The Virginian Clubhouse in Bristol, Virginia, this year’s event will feature personal testimonies from CCA students and staff who will share the school’s impact on their lives, and include video messages from Louis Markos, Ph.D., Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) supporter, professor and author; and Dr. Michael Farris, J.D., LL.M., president and CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom and chancellor emeritus of Patrick Henry College. Live entertainment will be provided by local jazz band, The Diamonds.

“We encourage anyone who would like to learn more about Cornerstone to join us for this special occasion,” says Emily Farmer, director of strategic planning and coordinator of development for Cornerstone. “This will be a fun, encouraging night filled with stories of God’s goodness and faithfulness to Cornerstone, and it will give attendees the opportunity to support CCA’s vision for the future.” 

Founded in 2011 with 22 students, CCA has grown to more than 220 students, with the 2021-22 school year being a record-breaking year. CCA offers classical Christian education with rigorous academic standards and many opportunities for hands-on learning. The mission of CCA is to prepare students to go into the world equipped to make a difference and fulfill God’s calling for their lives by thinking creatively, reasoning logically and writing persuasively. CCA also offers a variety of fine arts courses and electives, and a robust athletics program including volleyball, basketball, baseball, swimming, golf, cross country, and track and field.

Located in Abingdon, Virginia, CCA is a classical, non-denominational Christian school serving students in junior kindergarten through 12th grade.
