Venue Hosting First Blackjack Tournament on April 27
BRISTOL, Va. (April 21, 2025) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol is bringing the star power this year with two exciting additions to its Hard Rock Live lineup.
Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters — Aug. 22
Formed in 2006, Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalogue of music that touches on their love of a wide array of influences — particularly 1960s rock and roll, including The Beatles, The Byrds and The Beach Boys, along with The Mothers of Invention, The Allman Brothers, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Big Star.
As a touring band, The Boxmasters have cultivated a rabid cult fanbase across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.
In conjunction with the July 11 release of their newest album, “Pepper Tree Hill,” The Boxmasters will kick off a U.S. tour in August. This album marks their 19th release as the ever-prolific J.D. Andrew and Bud Thornton showcase their love for the sounds of the 1960s and the inspiration of their studio. The title cut, “Pepper Tree Hill,” features legendary trumpeter/bandleader Herb Alpert and longtime collaborator and Boxmaster alum Brad Davis on guitar.

Jay Leno — Oct. 24
“And now, the host of The Tonight Show, Jay Leno!” Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see the iconic television host and comedian live and in person at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol on Oct. 24.
Leno hosted “The Tonight Show” from 1992-2009, and then again from 2010-2014. He is also an active and admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, in-demand corporate speaker, TV and movie voiceover artist, philanthropist, and pioneering car builder and mechanic.
In addition to “The Tonight Show,” Leno served as the host of the TV game show “You Bet Your Life” from 2021-2023, and hosted the Emmy Award-winning “Jay Leno’s Garage” on CNBC from 2014-2022.
Leno is the recipient of many honors, including Emmy, People’s Choice and TV Guide awards; the Harris Poll selection as most popular star on television; the Hasty Pudding Award at Harvard University; the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor; the Patriot Award given by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society; and a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

Blackjack Tournament
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will host the first Blackjack Tournament since opening its permanent facility on Sunday, April 27, from noon to 5 p.m.
To earn a seat in the tournament, guests can play to earn 250 gaming tier credits from 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 27. Visit Players Club to swipe any promotional kiosk for entry and redeem at the Box Office on Sunday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Guests can earn up to two entries.
The tournament’s grand prize is $25,000.
