Acts Include The Royal Hounds, Illiterate Light and ‘The Voice’ Contestant Noah Spencer

The Royal Hounds

Known for their unique style of roots rock ‘n’ roll, The Royal Hounds have toured across the United States, Europe and South America since 2011, and are known as one of the most unique Nashville-based bands.
Made up of Scott Hinds (founding member, lead singer and slap bassist), Matheus Canteri (guitar) and Nathan Place (drums), the trio brings a different approach to live music by mixing rock ‘n’ roll, swing, honky tonk and country shredding with instrument swapping and other fun, on-stage antics.
Illiterate Light

Formed in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 2015, Illiterate Light is the American alternative rock duo of Jeff Gorman (vocals, synth bass, guitar) and Jake Cochran (vocals, drums).
Known for their high-energy live performances, the duo averages more than 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify thanks to songs such as “Sometimes Love Takes So Long” and “Better Than I Used To.” Their sound is Americana and rock, with folk and psychedelic elements in their songwriting.
Joslyn & The Sweet Compression

Lexington-based band Joslyn & The Sweet Compression was the creation of Joslyn Hampton and her stepfather, Marty Charters. After Hampton honed her performance skills and voice talents, she joined Charters to write memorable songs and build a band that plays a mix of funk and soul.
Charters is no stranger to the stage. As a touring guitarist and songwriter, he has shared the stage with icons such as Van Morrison, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. The rest of the band includes Kasym Moldogaziev (guitar), Isaac Stephens (trumpet), Tyler Papierniak (bass), Rashawn Fleming (drums), Trevin Little (saxophone) and Sam Richardson (keyboard).
Noah Spencer
Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m.
Southwest Virginia native Noah Spencer’s musical talent was recently on display during the 24th season of the popular singing competition television show, “The Voice.”
His skill caught the attention of country music megastar Reba McEntire, who chose him for Team Reba. Spencer made it to the playoffs before being eliminated.
As a solo acoustic artist, Spencer covers a range of styles, including rock, country, pop and Americana. He performs throughout the Southeast as he pursues a career in music.
Kayla McKinney
Friday, Feb. 23, at 9:30 p.m.
Known as a rising voice in country music, Western North Carolina native Kayla McKinney’s unique style will be on display with songs from her digital EP, “These Two Barstools,” and new single, “Three Chords & the Truth.”
